The Road to Mosaic: From Flour to Freight-Tech
1927: HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Mosaic’s story begins nearly a century ago.
In 1927, A.J. Meyers began hauling flour across rural Ontario in a converted school bus.
That humble beginning laid the foundation for Meyers Transport, which grew to become a cornerstone of Canadian LTL, serving shippers across Ontario and beyond with a reputation for reliability, integrity, and service-first values.
2000s: A MODERN SHIFT
As supply chains evolved, the next generation launched Mosaic Logistics.
A non-asset, consultative freight model designed to meet the changing needs of manufacturers and distributors.
Mosaic Logistics carried forward the DNA of Meyers Transport while adapting to modern logistics realities, where service and strategy became just as critical as trucks and terminals.
2016: FUSING TECH AND SERVICE
Jacquie Meyers and Justin Bailie- a co-founder of Rose Rocket, one of Canada’s leading TMS providers- acquired Mosaic Logistics with a bold vision: to combine deep LTL expertise with modern technology.
The initial goal was simple: stay small and consultative while giving shippers smarter tools.
But the market had other ideas.
THE NEXT EVOLUTION: MOSAIC
As demand for tech-enabled freight support grew, it became clear: customers didn’t just want better service, they needed smarter systems. Freight had evolved from a cost center to a competitive lever.
That insight sparked the next evolution: Mosaic.
We brought together decades of LTL experience with a team of engineers, domain experts, and freight veterans to tackle one of logistics’ toughest challenges: LTL complexity.
2025: A NEW CHAPTER
Today, Mosaic is more than a freight partner. We’re the bridge between tradition and progress. By blending decades of lived LTL experience with modern, venture-scale software, we’ve reimagined what great freight looks like for today’s shippers.
Yet some things will never change. The service-first values that built our foundation- reliability, integrity, and care for our customers- remain at the heart of everything we do and what inspires us to keep moving the industry forward.
